PROCEDURE FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE MACHINE READABLE PASSPORT

Drop-off facility (which is optional) will be available between the hours of 7:00 am – 12:00 noon (Mondays – Fridays)

Renewal application forms must be thoroughly completed and contact information must be provided.

Documents to be submitted:

Completed renewal application form
-
One (1) passport sized photograph (see link for specifications)

Photocopy of the bio-data page of current passport
-
Evidence of payment
-

Payment for renewal applications must be done prior to the application being submitted.

Applications must be submitted on the same day that payments are made. Failure to comply with this stipulation will result in an extended period for delivery.

The renewal cost of the machine readable passports are as follows:$250.00TT (ordinary passport)$350.00TT (business passport)

Payment can be made by the following options:

Via linx or cash at the POS, San Fernando and Tobago Offices

Via Linx at the Sangre Grande, Chaguanas and Point Fortin Offices

Via cash payment by voucher at the District Revenue Offices in Sangre Grande, Chaguanas and Point Fortin (this is relative to applications being submitted in these areas).

Credit Card payments are NOT accepted.

Applicants who have changed their name either by Marriage or by Deed Poll must submit the original supporting document along with a photocopy. These will be returned upon delivery of the new passport.

Children under 16yrs of age will require a live photo capture. This is in keeping with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) specifications; as such an appointment for renewal is necessary.

Applications for Lost, Expedited and Emergency passports cannot be facilitated through the drop-off process. An appointment is not required to access the drop-off facility.

Completed application form (signed by a Justice-of-the-Peace in Barbados)

Birth Certificate

Proof of citizenship

Marriage Certificate (where applicable)

Qualifications (undergrad/post-grad/professional)

Proof of registration with professional agency (where applicable)

Passport (copy of bio-data page & date of issue)

Two (2) passport size photos (applicant’s name in block letters at back)]

BDS$100 application fee (per application)

Police Certificate(s) of Character (from home country and any othercountries where applicant has resided for more than six (6) months sincethe age of sixteen years).
Please submit only original certificates. No affidavits will be accepted.Please bring originals and copies of the above documents. Copies will be certified and the original given back to the applicant. Incomplete applications will NOT be accepted.
